Meet Bate Nate H, the East London based rap artist who is well recognized in the underground scene, making music for over 4 years. His new offering is called ITHUGAMAZIN and is a clear representation of what he does best. Nate says to expect the unexpected with this one and is creating music for anyone who can appreciate something new and different.
You could love punk rock, hip-hop, soul, or RnB – his music is aimed at smokers, fashionistas, people who like to party… he describes himself as an alien to other artists, being in his own headspace and thinking outside of the box, whilst bouncing off of the energy of others.
It’s been tough. Born to Trinidadian parents and youngest of six brothers, growing up in the never-a-dull-moment Leytonstone and experiencing the realness of what it means to be young, black and living in a world where life is far from simple.
He has been through his fair share of trouble including going to jail for the first time at the age of 15 and becoming one of the first, and youngest guys in London to have an ASBO.
Throughout it all growing in in a time when music was at its best, Nate has been influenced by iconic greats such as Tupac Shakur& Outlaws, DMX, Michael Jackson, Rakim, Cameo and Isle Brothers. Inspired by what he came to love, this 28 year old started making music back in the 90s as a kid and quickly found his niche. When you hear Bate Nate, you’ll know; his voice is raw, his lyrics are hard and his beats are wavy. Songs such as xxx have been described as having a DMX/Tupac sound by critics. He speaks to an audience that will relate to .
Nate puts in the work. Everything from the product making to the distribution of hard copy units is fine by hundred. He’s busy with traveling daily in different cities selling his music – everything from the product making to the distribution of hard cop……..addition, he’s running monthly mini independent street tours across the UK and performing in places in Europe such as Amsterdam at shows like Live on the Low and Coast to Coast whenever possible. Oh, and he’s a dedicated father to his 9 year old Princess – his motivation in life.
He’s sold over 40,000 units worldwide via online digital stores and the Street Team who travel miles across the UK and Europe. His fan base has grown over the years and they continue to support his movements, ‘..the difference with Bate Nate H is he interacts with us fans on a one to one basis. I’ve not met an artist like him..’. Nate says the response from the public and support from his fans fuel the energy that keeps him going. Some DJs will spin his music him whilst others will black ball him due to his no-nonsense lyrics and mindset – it all pushes him to dig deeper.
Following in the footsteps of one of his idols, Nate also actively works with the late Tupac Shakurs’ Outlaws alongside YSL (Young Successful Living/Young Stoner Nation).
With over one million plays on YouTube – increasing everyday – and free mixtape downloads, now feels like the perfect time for this young motivated thug star to rise-up!
