The London Political Summit 2019 Awards will take place in London and Nairobi.
The release was announced today in London during the presentation by the Board of the foundation.
The London Political Summit is a growing think-tank platform set to engage with Political and Economic leaders. It also engages with emerging leaders of the future on the trends of governance and democratic paradigm shifts. Ultimately, it raises a fundamental communique on the summit resolutions for reference to improve governance.
The summit will take place twice this year. First in London and the second one in Nairobi, Kenya. This year’s theme is centred on, political security and democratic peace. Considering the various political challenges and its resultant Democratic uncertainty both across Europe and Africa the summit comes in the right time. It is now important to re-examine the role of politics in national security and development. The summit would look at the emerging trend of women and young people in politics and leadership roles in the diaspora and home countries.
Following the successes of our previous summits and the establishment of the Raila/Uhuru Africa Peace Accord Awards, in honour of the most distinguished sons of Africa and Kenya, for their historic peace accord handshake in Nairobi, ending the age long political divide and violence in Kenyan politics.
This year the London Political Summit in conjunction with Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga’s Office the Raila/Uhuru Africa Peace Accord Award would be fully unveiled by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya and Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, Former Prime Minister of Kenya, and the presentation of the first Awards to this year’s recipients in Nairobi, Kenya.
The London Summit has great speakers, from the US, Europe, UK, and Africa, both political and public office holders, young politicians, students, academics, and business leaders in attendance. The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development in Nigeria Hon. Dr. Paullen Tallen will be a Special Keynote Speaker. HE Former Prime Minister of Kenya Raila Odinga was our first year summit Keynote Speaker, while Ambassador Dr Josephine Ojiambo was Speaker at the second edition, and last year’s Summit was addressed by the Speaker of Ugandan Parliament Hon. Dr. Rebecca Kadaga MP.
