There are strong indications that Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Jumoke Akinjide may lose her ministerial job due to the defection of her husband, Hon. Aliyu Ahman Pategi to the Nigeria main opposition party, All Progressive Congress (APC).
Pategi was one of the 37 Members of the House of Representatives who dumped the ruling party during the week due to the alleged “factionalisation and high-handedness” of the Bamanga Tukur led PDP.
Pategi who chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources, according to his political associates has painstakingly spare-headed the movement of majority of his supporters to APC including his family and associates.
Akinjide who lives with her husband in Maitama, Abuja also failed in her bid to curry the favour of the political bigwigs in Ibadan and Oyo State, in her bid to be recognised as the PDP leader in the State.
