Barrister Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi commissions New projects for employment generation in Delta State.
The ancient city of Warri in Delta State, South South Nigeria, went on frenzy and joyful mood Tuesday 19th December 2017 when the Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa commisioned the very expansive Commercial Mall comprising of 600 units retails outlets and An Ultra Modern Petrol Station with 18 pump stations.
The project was built by the man of steel, a vision led person and top entrepreneur to contribute to Delta state development in business, job creatiobs and commerce. It is none other than a man of high repute Hon. Barrister Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.
The ground Breaking event which had hundreds of guests in attendace was full of colour and grandieur.
The initiative according to Hon. Barrister Gbagi was born out of his zeal to impact on the efforts of Delta State Goverment in creating employments to its citizens and also generating more revenue to the economy of Delta State.
In his speech, The Governor, Dr Okonwa praised and appreciates the determination of Hon. Gbagi in giving the best opportunity to indigenes of the state and adding value to their infrastructural challeges in the retail sector thereby boosting the economy of the state. He thanked him glowingly for the laudable project.
The site where the mall stands today used to be inhospitable marsh land turned around by Hon. Gbagi and in so doing becoming Delta state’s version of IT hub or Computer Village, Lagos which js named after his father, Robinson. The mall is by far, the biggest single shopping mall in the state, providing businesses to more 10,000 directly and indirectly jobs.
Barr. Gbagi is criminologist, industrialist, serial entrepreneur and lawyer, who recalled his encounter with the elder statesman with nostalgia, saying, “I was moved with the passion to do the impossible things at the time. And also to fulfill the promise I made in the presence of my father to his friends, who complained that there were no shops to do business in Warri, that I would provide shops for people to do business when I grew up. That promise is fly kept and more will be done”.
