The Federal Government has inaugurated the Governing Boards of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion(NOTAP) and Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology.
During the inauguration in Abuja, Supervising Minister of Science and Technology, Omobola Johnson advised that the Governing Board members be provided with policy guidelines for the operations of the Agencies in other to enable them continue rendering technology related services to industries, entrepreneurs, researchers as they relate to their mandates.
Johnson further advised the 16- man inaugurated boards to be conscious of the imperative to be guided by the principles of integrity, accountability and transparency to enable them function for the interest of the country’s growth.
She therefore reminded them to demonstrate the highest standard in the discharge of their mandate as enshrined in the Acts establishing the Agencies.
The 16- man inaugurated boards comprise of twelve professioners and four others from ministries such as Finance, Justices, Education and foreign affairs to represent government.
