The FCT Administration will partner with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to upscale the quality of broadcast media in the country.
The FCT Minister, Bala Mohammed, gave this assurance while receiving the management team of NTA led by its Director-General, Mr. Sola Omole that paid him a working visit on Tuesday in his office at Area 11, Garki I District, Abuja.
The Minister insisted that the quality in the content of broadcast organizations must reflect the present day stride particularly the Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government.
In a statement signed by the chief press secretary to the Minister, Mohammad Sule, The Minister reiterated that his Administration would continue to encourage NTA being a premier television station in the country to renew with vigour by maintaining the lead in informing, educating and entertaining the populace.
According to him, the government has achieved a lot in its transformation agenda and therefore urged the Nigeria media to give fair coverage of all these achievements.
He thus, set up a committee under the chairmanship of the Coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council to support NTA towards fine-tuning its plans of a new iconic corporate headquarters befitting the television station being the largest network in Africa.
Speaking earlier, the Director-General of NTA, Mr. Sola Omole said that members of his new management team are working to reposition the television station to confront new challenges in the industry.
Mr. Omole stated that the team is determined to create a new NTA brand in tandem with the global reality.
