The government of Kano State has announced a new emir. This comes after the dethronement of HRH Muhammad Sanusi 11, as the Emir of Kano state.
The new Emir is Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who is the son of late Emir Ado Bayero.
The old Emir (Muhammad Sanusi 11, a former CBN Governor) is banished to Nasarawa.
Before his appointment, was the Emir of Bichi, one of the four emirates created by governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
HRH Aminu, is a Mass Communication graduate of Bayero University, Kano. He was first appointed as district head of Nasarawa in 1990 by his late father. The administration of Gov Ganduje named the emir of Bichi in 2019 after dividing the Kano Emirate into four.
He was later promoted to Dan Buran Kano and then named Turakin Kano.
Ado Bayero was also Sarkin Dawakin Sakarin Gida Kano before elevated to Wamban Kano and then named emir of Bichi.
