More than 500 APC members across the Jalingo communities have revamped and decamped to the governing party in state under the PDP party of Governor Ishaka.
The changed of party loyalty took place Wednesday in Taraba State capital witnessed by the State PDP leadership under the Chairmanship of Hon Victor Bala and State Leader, Cmrd Mary. At event and remarks, Cmrd Mary M. Emiene shared and expressed her delight in their movement and returned to PDP. She thanked all the youths and women who have avail themselves to making the event a success and looking forward to them voting in mass for the party.
With the surge into the PDP party, Governor Darius Ishaku will be very hopeful that his first term performance is showing tremendous appeal to the APC voters and by extension to other parties presence in the state to join the PDP.
There are also strong feelings that the PDP in Taraba state is set to gain and consolidate their stronghold in the coming 2019 elections. More decampees from the other opposition political parties are expected in the state.
Reliable sources in the state party revealed that with the new strategic approach adopted by the PDP party leaders, the party will see it gaining more voters especially among the women and youth electorates.
It will be recalled late last year saw the movement of APC elected members moving to the PDP party. Other instances are the meeting between the Taraba state Governor Darius Ishaku and former state executives and elected officials.
The chairman of the State PDP Party Hon Victor concluded by appreciating their decision to the party and assured party loyalists of victory for the party by their gesture and much more.
