Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has said the state has enjoyed peace and tranquility during the reign of the Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.
Speaking at a thanksgiving service to mark the 12th coronation anniversary of the monach, at the St. Peter Cathedral Church, Ake, Abeokuta, Amosun commended Alake for the support given to his administration.
Saying the support will not be taken for granted, the governor called for continued cooperation and prayers for the success of his government.
Earlier in his message, the Arch Bishop of Remo Anglican Diocese, Most Revd. Michael Fape, noted that the success of reign of Alake, was due to the fact that he serves, honours and constantly worships God.
Fape enjoined the celebrant to constantly walk in holiness, maintain a deeper prayer life and relationship with God as well as surround himself with godly counsellors, who will contribute to the development of the people and the society at large.
Also, the governor celebrated with the Olubara of Ibara, Oba Jacob Olufemi Omolade as he marked his 25th coronation anniversary.
Amosun, at the Church of Nigeria, St. Andrew’s Church, Ibara, Abeokuta, yesterday, prayer that he will continue to celebrate good things in life, urging him never to relent in praying for all those in authority.
