A Non Governmental Organisation Governance watch Initiative has called on the Federal Government to come up with a robust counter terrorism strategy that will address the ceaseless killing of innocent Nigerians by the Boko haram insurgents in the North eastern part of the country.
The National coordinator Rotimi Ogunwuyi while addressing made this call while addressing News men in Abuja Nigeria.
Ogunwuyi said that with the recent attack of innocent school children by the sect in Yobe State shows that if proper steps are not taken the situation might become worse than it is already.
He used the medium to call on security agencies to look for a way to end the inter agency rivalry that can only weaken the fight against terrorism and work together in intelligence gathering and sharing if the war against terrorism will be won.
According to him ” the government must solicit the operational involvement and assistance of ECOWAS and the African Union including deploying multinational security operations across the region to track and hunt down boko haram operational chain” he noted
