In a bid to eradicate the Menace of Fake Drivers’ License in Nigeria. The Federal Road Safty Corps has concluded plans to try and jail anyone found guilty of counterfeiting the Driver’s License.
Corps Marshal Osita Chidoka said this in Abuja during a press briefing as part of the build up to this year’s FRSC annual lecture Series in Abuja.
He said the Annual lecture series which started in 2009 has become a platform to evoke further public discourse and consciousness on Road safty Matters.
He noted that this year’s edition of the Lecture with a Theme Safer Roads A 21st Century development challenge will focus of initiating an African Agenda in order to address the developmental challenges to safer roads withing the Continent in the 21st century.
He therefore used the medium to appeal to Nigerians to avoid any form of counterfeiting especially drivers license as anyone caught henceforth will be charged to court and if found guilty the offender stands being jailed for falsification and other related offences.
