A Coalition of Civil society Organisation and None Governmental Organisations in Northern Nigeria have advised the Kano state governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and some politicians who see themselves as northern progressives to desist from their kind of politics of always insulting the office of the president in their agitation for power in 2015.
This advise was given by Alhaji Gidado Ibraheem on Behalf of the Coalition while addressing News men in Abuja the Nigerian Capital on the numerous
attacks on president Goodluck Jonathan by some Northern politician who claims they are speaking for the North.
Alhaji Ibraheem said that the belief by some politicians that it is only a president from the North that can bring about meaningful development to the region is not true as The present administration under Goodluck Jonathan has tremendously brought development to the region in spite of the numerous security challenges associated with the region.
He therefore called on all political actors who have resorted to politics of calumny and personal attacks on the president to retrace their steps and focus on issues rather than personalities. Urging that utterances of political leaders should promote the unity and progress of this Nation.
